Best of Show

Best of Show is exclusively for those attending the Summer Institute, recognizing work completed after May 1. Best of Show plaques will be awarded only to those in attendance at the Institute in June. This award program is free of charge, recognizing work completed after May 1 deadline for all categories of the annual statewide media contest.

Submissions will be accepted at the opening session of the NC Scholastic Media Institute. The following will be accepted for submission:

• May/June print issue of newspaper or newsmagazine
• Print copy of yearbook
• Print copy of literary magazine
• May/June online news site
• May/June podcast or radio show
• May/June broadcast show

This contest accepts overall entries only, no individual student entries. Entries will be reviewed by judges, and Best of Show winners are selected. No commentary will be provided. Winning entries receive a plaque, presented at the closing luncheon of the Summer Institute. A staff representative of the winning staff must be present to win.
